o. 1029 enjoyed a fantastic start to the new Masonic year at our January meeting, which marked the first official meeting under the leadership of our newly installed Right Worshipful Master, Bro. Kenneth Paterson PM.

The evening was a proud and memorable occasion for the Lodge, as the RWM welcomed the Brethren with warmth, confidence, and a clear sense of direction for the year ahead. The meeting reflected the strong spirit and unity within Colinton & Currie, setting an excellent tone for the months to come.
A Warm Welcome to Visiting Masters
One of the highlights of the evening was the outstanding support shown by visiting Brethren. The Right Worshipful Master was delighted to welcome a host of visiting Masters from within the Province of Midlothian, demonstrating the close bonds and mutual respect shared between Lodges in the Province.
We were also honoured to receive visitors from the neighbouring Province of East Lothian, further strengthening the friendships that connect our Lodges across provincial boundaries. Their presence added greatly to the atmosphere of the evening and served as a reminder of the wider Brotherhood that Freemasonry represents.
The Main Business of the Evening
The principal business of the night was the advancement of Bro. Edward Janusz, who was progressed from the rank of Fellowcraft Mason to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason.
Bro. Janusz conducted himself to a very high standard throughout the Degree and was successful in taking this important next step in his Masonic journey. The Brethren of Lodge Colinton & Currie No.1029 offer him their warmest congratulations and wish him every success as he continues his progress within the Craft.

A Strong Start to the Year Ahead
The January meeting was not only a moment of celebration for our new Right Worshipful Master, but also a renewed opportunity for the Lodge to come together with energy and enthusiasm as we move forward into 2026.
Lodge Colinton & Currie No.1029 looks forward to a busy and rewarding year under RWM Kenneth Paterson PM, and we are grateful to all who attended and contributed to making this first meeting such a success.
To all our visitors, thank you again for your support and fraternal company — you will always be welcome at Colinton & Currie No.1029.
