On Thursday 23rd April 2026, a large deputation from Lodge Colinton & Currie No. 1029 travelled to join the brethren of Lodge St John Corstorphine No. 788 for what proved to be a memorable and proud evening for our Lodge.

The occasion marked the conferring of Honorary Membership upon our own IPM, Bro Stewart Walls PM, by the RWM of No. 788, Bro John Brown Wilson.
This recognition reflects the strong bonds of friendship and mutual respect that continue to grow between our two Lodges. Bro Stewart’s dedication to Freemasonry, his commitment to supporting fellow brethren, and the contribution he has made both within Lodge 1029 and throughout the wider Masonic community made the evening particularly special for all in attendance.
The deputation from 1029 was there in strength to support Stewart on this important occasion, demonstrating once again the spirit of brotherhood and camaraderie that exists within our Lodge.
The warm welcome extended by the brethren of No. 788 ensured the evening was enjoyed by all.
Honorary Membership is a significant distinction within Freemasonry and one that is bestowed upon brethren held in high regard by a Lodge.
It was clear throughout the evening that Stewart’s friendship and efforts over the years have been greatly appreciated by the brethren of Lodge St John Corstorphine No. 788.
The brethren of Lodge Colinton & Currie No. 1029 extend their sincere congratulations to IPM Stewart Walls on receiving this honour and thank RWM John Brown Wilson and the brethren of No. 788 for their hospitality and friendship.
A fantastic evening of Freemasonry, friendship, and fraternity.
