A Message From Our Outgoing Right Worshipful Master

Brethren,

As I come to the end of my term as Right Worshipful Master of Lodge Colinton & Currie No. 1029, I wish to take this opportunity to express my sincere and heartfelt thanks to you all for the support, encouragement, and fraternity you have shown me over the past two years.

It is and always will be a tremendous honour to serve this Lodge, and I am deeply grateful to the Office Bearers and Brethren who have worked tirelessly in support of the Lodge, both within our meetings and far beyond them. Much of the work carried out by the senior Office Bearers takes place out with meeting nights and often goes unseen, but I want to assure you that these efforts are both recognised and greatly appreciated by those who understand the commitment involved.

During my term, in 2024-2025 I have had the privilege of representing Lodge Colinton & Currie at a significant number of Masonic meetings and events. On the vast majority of these occasions, I was accompanied by our Immediate Past Master, Brother Douglas Munro, and our Past Master and Master Elect, Brother Kenny Paterson. I wish to place on record my sincere thanks to both these Brethren for their unwavering support, companionship, and dedication throughout this period. Also, to our Past Master’s, who accompanied me on many occasions, and to you brethren your presence and support was very much appreciated.

Finally, I extend my thanks to you Brethren for the trust you placed in me and for the kindness and encouragement shown throughout my term. Serving you as Right Worshipful Master for a second term has been both a privilege and a real pleasure, and I leave the Chair with a deep sense of pride in our Lodge and confidence in its continued success.

As we approach the festive season, may I wish you all, and your families, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. May the coming year bring good health, happiness, and continued harmony within our Lodge and beyond.
